The absence of breakfast included in the price felt steep for what you get. The shared facilities overall could use more frequent cleaning, especially in the evenings. Finding the check-in point at the Fjordtell hotel was a hassle, especially when arriving early, and food options were limited nearby.

During my stay, I was completely captivated by the stunning views of the waterfalls visible from the room. The budget hotel turned out to be quite sufficient for our needs, especially given the accessibility to nearby attractions like the Viking Village and Njardarheimr, which were just a short walk away. We found the communal bathrooms well-maintained and clean, making our stay comfortable. It was particularly nice that there are dining options in the upmarket sister hotel nearby as well.

I had a lovely stay at Gudvangen Budget Hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to assist me. I enjoyed the beautiful waterfall views from my room, which made relaxing there such a delightful experience.

the budget hotel is in a fantastic spot! just a short walk from the harbour and the viking village. the free parking was a big plus too. the room was clean and simple. We enjoyed the lovely views of the surrounding mountains. it made for a cozy stay after our hikes.

I had a pleasant surprise when I arrived at Gudvangen Budget Hotel. The staff welcomed me warmly and even upgraded my stay to Cudvangen Fjordtell, which was unexpected. My room had a breathtaking view of three waterfalls right outside the window. It was spacious and recently redecorated, with a cozy bed, a flat-screen TV, and conveniences like a fridge and microwave. The tropical rain shower was a highlight after my hikes in the area. Unfortunately, I experienced some frustrations while checking in since the reception was in a separate building and not clearly indicated beforehand. It was challenging to find and added unnecessary stress. Although I enjoyed my stay overall, that logistical issue detracted from the experience. I appreciated the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms, which were well-maintained. The breakfast offered by the hotel was on the pricey side, but there were cheaper, delicious dining options nearby, like a bakery and pizzeria. I really enjoyed the hotdogs available at the shop outlet nearby. The hotel is ideally positioned to start exploring Rimstigen hike, offering stunning views. While I had an enjoyable time, better communication about check-in logistics would make the stay even more seamless.

The large wardrobe and chest of drawers feel excessive. compact storage would make for a more pleasant stay!!! plan on paying extra for subpar options!!! Shared bathroom situation may not suit everyone!!!
